Contract Award -- Technical Assistance for the Development of Teacher Friendly Reading Materials

Description -- Under the contract, the Institute will modify, revise, and prepare for national dissemination the Making Sense of Decoding and Spelling model instructional materials and teachers guide. The products were developed as an ancillary product during the study Building a Knowledge Base for Teaching Adult Decoding. The materials include instructional strategies that have been demonstrated as effective with adult learners.

Contract Award Amount -- $42,068

Contractor -- University of Delaware

Contract Award -- Technical Assistance for the Development and Writing of Fact Sheets for the National Institute for Literacy Web Site on Early Childhood and Childhood (K-3) Literacy


Description -- Development of Early Childhood Literacy and a Childhood (K-3) Literacy Factsheets for the Institute's Web site


Contract Amount -- $16,367.50


Contractor -- Jane Roy

Contract Award -- Adult Education Great Cities Summit

Description – A series of Summit meetings that will explore the needs and concerns of adult education students, teachers, and local program administrators in large, urban settings.

 Contract Amount -- $400,000 (with joint funding from the U.S. Department of Education, Office of Vocational and Adult Education)

 Contractor -- Barrera Associates, Inc.

Contractor Award -- Technical Assistance for Product Development of Learning Disabilities Program (Learning to Achieve) Resources

Description -- Review, update, and develop materials for the Institute’s training program Learning to Achieve.

Contract Amount -- $311,318.08

Contractor -- TATC
