The first one will be on using EFF for goal setting with students, and will be out in the early winter. We will announce to the list when it is available. The teachers in Rhode Island asked about materials for teachers, as have the teachers in our staff development events, workshops and presentations. The Standards Guide, as was pointed out before, is a publication that introduces the EFF standards to a wide audience. The teacher tips will be to help teachers use EFF in classrooms, tutoring situations and programs. Any materials, however, without EFF staff development, will not be as effective in helping teachers incorporate EFF into everything they do. Our orientation to EFF and teaching and learning workshops incorporate usiing the standards for instruction. We do use the standards books in these workshops as resource s for EFF instructional use, but it is the interactive activities and information from EFF facilitators from the field that really help teachers use EFF. The EFF National Center will also be producing 4 issues of the EFF VOICE for general information and updates about EFF. The first edition, which will be published in the late fall/early winter will concentrate on the work that EFF is doing with the USDOE, Department of Vocational and Adult Education on the National Reporting System. We will announce when it is out. Both publications will be available on our web site as well as in hard copy. I would like to announce that Donna Curry is now the full time Publications Coordinator. Donna is in charge of publications and materials at the EFF National Center. We are excited to have a full time publications person on board, and are especially pleased that Donna has agreed to become part of the Center's team. We look forward to producing materials that keep you up to date on EFF as well as help you implement EFF in your instructional setting.
