Why? Since joining this list, I've seldom seen more than a dozen messages on
the list and few of those could be considered completely inappropriate or
irrelevant. There has been no "spam" that I've seen. Why a moderated list
now, may I ask?

list is about to change. Here's what's happening:

Future -- addressing your messages to nifl-4eff@literacy.nifl.gov -- just
like always. In the new system, I will receive all messages before the rest
of the list subscribers. I will preview the messages and then post them to
the list members. I believe rerouting the messages in this way will decrease
the number of inappropriate and irrelevant messages, and improve the overall
quality of the Equipped for the Future discussion list.

messages to get posted to the list. Expect a delay from the time you post
your message to the time it actually appears on the 4EFF list. Although I
will be checking 4EFF messages a minimum of once a day, there will be a
delay of hours, a day, or maybe more before your message appears on the
list, or before you get a response back from me (whichever the case may be.)

running. I still need to test and practice it, but I am optimistic that
things will go smoothly :-) ... If you have any questions, please email me

and ran into technical difficulties. Well, now I'm using the email program,
Eudora Pro and I think we're "good to go." As it turned out I needed an
email program that would allow me to send text only messages and undo the
word wrap setting.
