Susan,
The role maps fit nicely into your lessons on Speak. Each of the roles can 
provide a context where students would use the standard Speak. One speaks with 
family members, one speaks with co-workers & supervisors, one speaks with 
people in the community/neighborhood. These ideas can be helpful toward the 
development of lessons and could be tied into part of the goal setting 
process.
