Why 13? One for each of the common activities. Equipped for the Future defines "common activities" as those activities that overlap the primary adult roles of citizen and community member, parent and family member, and worker. Teachers and students use the set of activities to find a common focus for instruction, which supports learning across learners' goals and lives. Teachers and students also use the common activities to explore the potential transfer of skills, knowledge, and abilities across roles. Here's the site to download the illustrations of the Common Activities linked to roles and skills: http://novel.nifl.gov/lincs/collections/eff/eff_masters.html Thanks, Ronna Ronna G.
