What do you have in mind? For links to websites that students might use to improve their competency as citizens, family members and workers, I suggest exploring the Literacy Resources sections in the following LINCS Special Collections: 1. Family Literacy <http://literacy.kent.edu/Midwest/FamilyLit/>, 2. Workforce Education <http://slincs.coe.utk.edu/special_collections/workforce_education/> and 3. English as a Second Language <http://literacynet.org/esl/>. Also check out the New England Literacy Resource Center's Civic Participation and Community Involvement Site at <http://www.nelrc.org/civicp.htm>. You can go to <http://www.nifl.gov/lincs/search/search.html> to do a widespread search of websites across the LINCS network. There's a Learning Activities Bank (LAB) in the Workforce Education Collection located at <http://slincs.coe.utk.edu/gtelab/>. This site's homepage describes the LAB as a collection of web-based learning activities that focus on the basic skills and knowledge that adults need to be effective in the 21st Century workplace. The Technology Training Special Collection has criteria to decide whether to add a site or materials. You can view the student/learner web site review rubric at <http://www.altn.org/techtraining/criteria.html>. The EFF Special Collection has Selection Criteria related to EFF at <http://www.nifl.gov/lincs/collections/eff/eff_selection.html> but please note that the information, resources, materials, and websites currently residing in our collection are primarily meant to be used by professionals in the field rather than students. We will add materials expressly made for students as they are developed. If you have any questions, please contact me at <Ronna.Spacone@ed.gov>. Thanks, Ronna Ronna G.
