Further, Jennifer asked whether the EFF Community has embraced or rejected such tools. The EFF Center states that we haven't endorsed any software, but they suggest that you might want to look at a current software review that is online @ http://www.nwlincs.org/softreview/toc.htm It was done by the Northwest Regional Literacy Resource Center (Now the ABLE Network Literacy Resource Center) in 2001-2002. Practitioners and students reviewed the software which is listed by category. Price, publisher, and numerical rankings are included for each software evaluated.
