I particularly see it applying to Help yourself and others, Educate others, and Provide leadership in the community. You also mentioned research-based instruction and with the web connection students could (as I did) go to the site to see if there was such a program in their area. They could research ways to get the information out (and phones donated and resold) to people who need them. They might even work on a "how to access" this kind of phone. From what friends of mine have said about their cell phones (I don't have one so have no first hand experience) it might be helpful to have some easily understood instructions on how to use cell phones, and hints on what to look for in service contracts, etc. I think activities could also tie in with Become and Stay Informed- especially if a group were to do research [identify, monitor and anticipate problems, community needs, strengths and resources for yourself and others; figure out how the system that affects an issue works; find, interpret, analyze, and use diverse sources of information, including personal experience] and collect data for a project. The more I look, the more I see just about everything can connect to EFF, and the teaching/learning cycle applies to students and instructors (and administrators and funders!) alike. Bonnie
