Colleagues,

You have read several messages on this list, which call for major efforts in 
professional development, the key ingredient that will bake the cake of system 
reform.

Here is a message from Evelyn Beaulieu in Maine.

Our "hot topics" for this year come as a result of our 2003 Adult Education 
Summer Institute: Quality Adult Reading Programs practitioner feedback and

Maine Department of Education planning.  As a yearlong model we are offering

the following professional development offerings this year in regional sites

throughout our state:

    *The Teaching/Learning Cycle, with Andy Nash
