After several iterations, the topic appears in final form on the Parent/Family Role Map in the BAR--Meet Family Needs and Responsibilities--and in the Key Activity--Provide for Safety and Physical Needs. Perhaps this topic will serve you and your students as a shared priority in the Teaching and Learning Cycle. As you select an EFF Standard that will help the group address this shared goal, you may consider Read With Understanding. A Learning Activity to help you address the real life concerns of the learners could be the identification of ways to keep children safe in schools. Below is a possible lead.
