In the meantime, I want to pass along a few very good civics/election/voting-related websites that can help students build and apply the EFF skills "Solve Problems and Make Decisions," "Observe Critically," and "Use Math to Solve Problems and Communicate" within the context of becoming informed voters. 1. This is a very interesting (and free) workshop outline about making voting decisions that's been developed by The Right Question Project. You can download it from http://www.rightquestion.org/betterdecisions/ 2. Good activities for analyzing political ads (if you're getting any): http://www.c-span.org/classroom/govt/campaignads.asp#intro 3. Useful info and graphics for discussing the electoral college http://www.c-span.org/classroom/govt/electoral1.asp and http://www.c-span.org/classroom/2004vote/strategy.asp Awaiting the big game . . . .
