Hmm, an interesting thing for me to have missed(!) and I'll work to address it ASAP. I do want to announce the addition of a new example called "Hope," based on Jereann King's use of a Langston Hughes poem in a pre-GED class. This brings the number of EFF teaching examples in the toolkit to 13. So far we have examples focused on the following standards: Read With Understanding Speak So Others Can Understand Use Math to Solve Problems and Communicate Learn Through Research Convey Ideas in Writing Advocate and Influence Listen Actively Take Responsibility for Learning You can find examples for ABE, ESOL, family literacy, GED, pre-GED, 1-1 instruction, and Corrections. Aaron has been working hard to add long-awaited links from the Standards pages, including illustrations (developed by Tacoma Community House and great for ESOL or new readers), the Standards in Spanish, and each Standard's performance continuum. This really is an evolving site, so remember to check on it periodically and consider sending in examples or tools that might fill the remaining gaps. Maybe we can start by getting back to Amy's question about how you set shared goals . . . Andy Nash
