I haven't digested all of what you have said, yet, but I think you are on to something, ie, the clarifying piece that I need.  I have thought ecently that our manner of writing (left to right in a  straight line) doesn't do much for the complexity of our thought. It doesn't proritize, for one thing.  So you have done some sorting out for me, and thanks a lot!!

I spent the weekend in the  woods of Vermont and got my brain cleared out, a very good thing, else I just might have ended up insulting everyone on this list serv.

Now I have only the stock market and little rain to worry about...
