In my haste to leave the office for the day, I do not think I was clear on one point. Topics of sexuality as it relates to literacy are most definitely appropriate in terms of our discussion on isms! I apologize if my message implied otherwise; I may not have been as fully-inclusive in my writing as I thought. That fact alone will give me plenty of food for thought over the weekend. I have really been enjoying our discussions - so many deep conversations and insightful thoughts! I hope we continue to revisit these many ideas over the next couple of days. Andrea, thanks so much for that wonderful example of gender & positionality in your last message. It's amazing how significant a role this concept and other concepts related to isms play in literacy, and in our lives. I hope you have a wonderful weekend! All my best, Jackie
