In our program we do extensive professional development and we expect that the professional development would have a direct impact in retention. We think that it probably does, because we do have good retention and completion. However, we have not isolated all the variables, nor we have conducted any research that can substatiate, through traditional means, that, it is in fact, professional development, and not another variable, that leads to high retention and completion.

If anybody, such as tom, would like to design, and conduct a study with a large number of students, and educators that participate in professional development, you are welcome to do this with our program. We do not have the time or funding to design something of this magnitude, but we do have the students, educators and the professional development to make available to researchers.
