Judy Wagner gave me these web sites on ERIC. 1) www.lib.msu.corby/education/doe.htm 2) www.saveeric.org/ 3) www.eps.gov/spg/ED/ OCFO/CPO/Reference-Number-ERIC2003/listing.html The dealine for comments is May 9. Now to the meat of it. There has been a lot of talk on this list serv about politics and philosophy. Anyone want to take this on under that banner? Where the rubber hits the road? David Rosen of the NLA was a pretty good model, people did their homework, contacted others in the field, faxed, called and wrote. Anyone want to provide leadership on this one? Several models of letters to be sent to congresspeople? Others? Feedback? Organizing? Maybe a minimum of 500 letters in all? Less? More? Straetgy? Goals, short and long term? With its articles and bibliographies, ERIC is a prime resource for PD--Professional Development. Others on this list serv may use other ERIC resources. Any takers? As Judy says, The Clearinghouses, web sites, publications, and user services (question answering) will all disappear. Andrea
