Jackie:

It is not a discussion about the book, as in a book club. It is a discussion about how we can use a book to show teachers how to develop activities for students. The book was chosen specifically because the content supposedly relates to the students' histories, backgrounds, etc. What we want to do is determine if this is so, and explore ways in which we can show teachers how to use resources like this to develop better practices.
