I think that a person whose passion is teaching should learn how to be a better teacher, that may be a better contribution than trying to do another job that the individual is unsuited for. Maybe a person with a talent for music can bring joy in ways that a literacy teacher can't. And maybe the concert pianist can bring joy to a literacy teacher in ways the teacher can't supply herself, I thought of this yesterday at a concert. So...find the job you are suited to and do it. My thoughts, too, for Eileen in case she is still reading this thread. She may now be in a position to help those with whose needs she identifies, by social action. Andrea
