I've printed some of the pages. Perhaps you can share with us something of what you know about Accelerated Learning and what you think are its potential applicability to the field of adult literacy education. I ask that in special reference in relationship to your earlier reflections of plateau learning. I thought I'd pass this free professional development opportunity along. The International Alliance for Learning (IAL) is hosting a series of free conference calls in the next couple of weeks. This is the organization that promotes accelerated learning, which has demonstrated itself very successfully in corporate training; with remedial reading in children, and foreign language learning classes. I think there is some applicability to ABE/GED populations, but there is little research with these populations. Anyway, the conference calls are free if you're interested. http://www.ialearn.org/up1.php Jean Marrapodi Providence Assembly of God Learning Center
