Hi, Diane,
I'm a lurker who joined the list to see what others are using for formal and informal assessment. The purpose was to increase my awareness and knowledge of assessment systems and procedures.
It would be wonderful if there was a way to access well- thought out teacher assessments for various concepts to serve as pre- and post-tests.

It is one of the strange ironies of this strange life [that] those who work the hardest, who subject themselves to the strictest discipline, who give up certain pleasurable things in order to achieve a goal, are the happiest people.- Brutus Hamilton

Dear List Participants:

Just returned from an informative meeting of the NIFL list moderators. I am eager to try to energize activity and dialogue. It would be enormously helpful if you could take a moment and respond to the question:
Why did I join the assessment list?

Your answers will help generate new topics for discussion and opportunities to exchange ideas and practice about assessment with your colleagues across the country. Thank you for your help and support.

Best,
Diane Rosenthal
