Eileen,

I am responding to your posting to the NIFL assessment list regarding
EFF assessment.

You are correct in that you did not find a section of the EFF Special
Collection dealing with assessment. You are also correct in recalling
that EFF has been working on an assessment system for the past couple
of years.

Many assessment resources are now nearing readiness for use. As these
come available they are being cataloged into LINCS and will soon appear
in a portion of the EFF site that is currently being designed by EFF
assessment consortiuim members. And we will certainly announce this
major new resource on the discussion lists. Meanwhile, you can find
several publications dealing with assessment in the EFF Publications
section of the Special Collection.

Mary Dunn Siedow

I just took a quick look at the Equipped for the Future site and didn't
see
rubrics or much on assessment, but I thought EFF was developing and
piloting
an assessment framework to go with the curriculum standards. Maybe I
just
didn't spend enough time looking.

Eileen
