It is some time since I looked at the EFF and I had thought it was intended to provide a basis for assessments but perhaps this was because I was thinking about assessments when I looked at it. Further, I thought I recalled reading something by a person who was involved with it in the context of an assessment framework which thoughI only looked at it a couple of times seemed to me to say they had gained knowledge about assessment from their involvement. I shall go back and have another look. I agree that people don't always feel they need to improve English and Math: here some people get little choice in the matter effectively I think.
