Watch for the "LINCS Sessions at COABE" announcement, which will go out today or tomorrow. It lists all the fabulous sessions presented by LINCS Colleagues that you can participate in at COABE - there is something for everyone! Also, LINCS will have an Exhibit Booth at COABE as well - come by and see us! 2. Have you ever tried to find an old post in the Assessment List archive, but had a hard time finding it? No longer!!!! Soon our new Discussion List Search engine will be unveiled for your use. I have been playing around with the draft and it is really super! I will let you know when it is launched. 3. Another survey?! Well..yes, but this one is being done by outside reviewers of the LINCS collections, so it would be really helpful if people spent a few minutes taking this survey. The results will be used as part of the overall evaluation that is being conducted on the LINCS project. Go to the Assessment Collection homepage at http://literacy.kent.edu/Midwest/assessment/ and scroll to the bottom. You will see the user survey there. 4. I am in the process of organizing a Guest Discussion with the project directors of the NRC Report on Measuring Adult Literacy - several of you asked about that, and I received several posts urging me to hold this discussion. I will let you know when details are available. In the meantime, I encourage you to go and read the interim report, or at least the first half that really gives you the overview, and consider what questions or comments you would like to make. Thanks! marie cora Moderator, NIFL Assessment Discussion List, and Coordinator/Developer LINCS Assessment Special Collection at http://literacy.kent.edu/Midwest/assessment/ marie.cora@hotspurpartners.com
