Just to let you know that staff from the National Adult Literacy and 
Learning Disabilities Center will be at both the Orton Dyslexia 
Conference in Houston this week and also at the AAACE Conference in 
Kansas City.

Neil Sturomski and Charles Washington representing the Center's 
Washington office, and David Scanlon and Daryly Mellard from the Center's 
University of Kansas Institute for Learning Disabilities offfice will be 
at the AAACE Conference.  Neil will be presenting on Thursday from 4-4:50 on 
"The National Adult Literacy and Learning Disabilities Center: Screening, Intervention, Training, 
Dissemination."  On Friday from 1-4 pm there will be a panel presentation 
consiting of: Neil, General introduction-definition of adults with LD

	      James Koller, Screening issues

	      David Scanlon, Intervention issues

	      Patricia Rickard, Transition Issues

	      Sandra Koehler, Training/practitioner perspective and issues

	      Chris Lee, Consumer viewpoint


The National ALLD Center will also have a display and handouts in the 
exhibit area.  Please introduce yourself to the staff, they would like to 
meet you.

Eve Robins will be doing a poster session on Thursday at the Orton 
Dyslexia Conference from 11-1:30.  Again please come by and say "hello." 

All the staff from the Center look forward to meeting with you.
