The Literacy Assistance Center (LAC), under a contract with the New York City Mayor's Office of Adult Literacy (MOAL) and the New York State Education Department (SED), seeks an Educational Researcher with a primary focus in Adult Education as principal investigator in a project to identify salient impacts on students' lives which result from their participation in adult education programs. The project will identify the changes in students' lives which result from their participation in adult literacy programs, and determine which components of literacy programs have the most significant impact on students' lives. Research will be conducted with students and staff of the New York City Adult Literacy Initiative (NYCALI). The project will commence in January, 1996 and be completed by June 28, 1996, and is budgeted for $25,000. The deadline for proposal submissions is December 18, 1995.
