Dear Gerry,
I also use closed captioned movies, cartoons etc. as well as film
strips with the words at the bottom that we can read together in my
highschool esl classes. The students love them and they are great for
learning new vocabulary. I just don't understand what you meant by "Did you
know that captions can be downloaded into a computer file directly from
video tape using an inexpensive decoder?" Are you talking about making a
video and putting closed captions into the video? Thanks, Carol Sawka
