Hi Paul,
I read your posting and was intrigued by your teaching Soviet imigrants.

I majored in Soviet Area Studies and am obtaining my teaching
certification in grades K - 6 in Connecticut. However, I am still very
interested in using my background in Russian and am considering ESK , so
that I can work with Soviet immigrants.

Can I ask where you teach? Do you have a degree in ESL? Do you know
what kind of training is required to teach adults? I'm assuming that it
varies depending on the state in which one plans to teach.

I would appreciate any assistance.

Thanks.

Regards,

Marcy

P.S. I'm sorry that I cannot help you with your inquiry. However, if I
learn of any relevant information, I will certainly pass it on to you.
