Let's talk about something else. What about integrating recent immigrants into the community? Do ESL/ABE classroom teachers have a responsibility there? Do volunteers? What agencies cooperate with educational resources in an integration process? Or does the idea of integration step on someone's consititutional privacy toes? I'm thinking of communities where the Spanish-speaking population is reaching the 30% to 50% point.
