In light of the recent discussion and disagreements on the listserv, I
feel the need to add one thing:

As Fran has pointed out, we moderate ourselves to a great extent on this
list. I think that should include moderating our tone to ensure we are
RESPECTFUL of one another. Granted, written communication among people
who don't know each other can be misinterpreted. However, can't we all
remember our manners and professionalism?

Come on, folks, we all read this list for professional engagement,
discourse and inspiration. Must it turn into a talk show?

(Please note: I am not minimizing the legitimate topics we are grappling
with. I look forward to learning more from all of you.)

Finally, thanks Fran for your work as moderator. We don't say it enough.
