Again, thanks for all of the input on using videos. Since I have
received several inquiries concerning a summar, here goes:

1. Television programs such as "Unsolved Mysteries". The
dramatization, interspersed with some speech, works well.

2. The Side by Side Videos. They don't have to be used with the text.
Prentice-Hall. Their number for personal orders is 1-800-947-7700.
Individual videotapes are $18.95. If you have real beginners, a good
deal is the Video 1A & Workbook 1A package at $26.95. (Submitted by
Alice Macondray)

3. Grapevine (from Heinemann). Short video chapters. Has a workbook.
Funny. (Submitted by Julie Shattuck)

4. Crossroads Cafe. Some people use this for beginners. Others find
it too high. Either way, the quality is quite good.

5. Hello America. Comes in 3 levels. (Submitted by Myra Baum)

6. Mr. Bean videos. Available in many video stores. Very little
talking. Humorous. (Submitted by Mary Gillespie)
