X-Listprocessor-Version: 6.0c -- ListProcessor by Anastasios Kotsikonas Status: RO Content-Length: 1204 Lines: 38 Dear subscribers, I am working on a project for the Pennsylvania Department of Education Bureau of Adult Basic and Literacy Education that will result in a resource guide for instructors. This resource guide will include commercially available as well as teacher or program created instructional materials. Believing that instruction is more effective when it is focused on a specific theme or context, the resources will be organized around adult contexts or roles -- family member, worker, community member/citizen, and, potentially, individual (focusing on personal knowledge and skill development. Brief reviews of selected materials also will include information on the types and levels of basic skills taught through the material. If you have any suggestions for, reactions to, caveats about instructional materials that you have used, please let me know. Contact me at BLV1@PSU.EDU. Thanks, in advance!
