Here's the latest (courtesy of my colleague Terrence Wiley)

As you may already know, as result of the recent meeting in Oakland, a
new organization is being formed to oppose the Unz initiate.  Here is
its new web-site.

The Los Angeles Times ran a front page article on the organization
today.  It noted that the California State Republican Party is, thus
far, trying to distance itself from the initiative for fear of further
alienating Latino voters.
