I am a new member to the list and I am a graduate student at the
Department of Art and Design at the University of Alberta, Canada.
I am working toward my Masters in Visual Communication Design. The title
of my thesis is "Learning materials for ESL Literacy adult learners". I
am interested in designing visual aids for the teaching of ESL Literacy
to beginners. 

I have just briefly reviewed some literature on learning, first and
second language learning, reading and ESL literacy. I believe I have a
basic understanding of the subject.  
Now I am at the stage where I like to look at some existing visual aids
for beginning ESL Literacy but find it very difficult to locate any
recent one.

Could anyone give me some suggestion as how to find more resources in
this area?
