The Spring/Summer 1997 issue of the International Literacy Institute's
Newsletter 'Literacy Innovations', Vol 2(1) contains an article on
"Arabic Literacy: Literacy, Diglossia, and Standardization in the
Arabic-Speaking World." The article reports on discussions at the Arab
Region Literacy Seminar held in Cairo, February 23-25, 1997.
