Amen. I wonder how some students out there are being treated when
professional courtesy does not even exist on a listserv. Perhaps the email
format causes people to sound more vehement than they might in a
discussion setting... In any case, can we get back to a more polite
discussion of these important and intriguing issues? I hesitate to even
contribute my opinions for fear of being viciously attacked. Not a very
good environment for dialogue.
