A discussion list should be inclusive of the topics people want to discuss,
even if these topics seem inappropriate to some members. This mode of
communication is different from face to face discussion, because we can
ignore the topics that we don't want to listen to. Nobody's use of
bandwidth interferes with anyone's right to ignore the communication. I
suggest that those who don't want to participate or listen to a particular
topic use their delete keys when these topics appear in the subject line.
