As the supervisor of the library's foundation collection as well as a
literacy as ESL author, I will try to offer a little insight. ESL
funding may be found in both literacy and education sources. The
focus of the program being proposed may well determine the type of
funding to be requested. Actually, funding for ESL programs may even
be located using sources for many subject areas. When you are
prospecting for funds, have you checked with your nearest foundation
center library/librarian? You can find out where there are located
via the Foundation Center's website. http//www.fdncenter.org
The type funding you require, program general support, project,
emergency, building, ongoing support, operating expenses...also is
a factor. The age level of the participant can also be a factor.
