Bonnie -- non-credit ESL classes, please! Thanks!

> If you want this information for the non-credit portion of our community
college I can answer these questions. We have credit and non-credit
classes. For which would you like the information?

Our classes run from 1-5 days per week. Class length is usually 2-3 hours. The day classes are longer and the evening classes are shorter.

> 2. How many weeks are the courses, semesters or whatever?

We have four terms. Fall is 13 weeks, Winter is 11 weeks. Spring is usually 8 weeks and Summer is 6 weeks.>

As many as they want.>

>We follow the California Model Program Standards with SCANS competencies included in the curriculum. Each instructor (there are 55 part-time instructors) chooses materials.
> 6. Who decides/chooses the curriculum/text?
As the program coordinator I have the final say, but the curriculum was developed by instructors and they choose their materials.>

&

>Yes

>Yes. We're open-entry/open-exit, so different students attend vastly different number of hours.
