Following up on a meeting that a Board member and I had with the president of a local university, tomorrow afternoon I will be meeting with a number of faculty members from different departments, to begin brainstorming what an adult literacy institute on their campus (Central CT State Univ.) might look like, and how we would fund it. This is at the very beginning stages, and I think one of the things that will need to come out of this beginning meeting is an agreement to research what exists elsewhere in the country. However, I thought I'd jump-start by seeing if anyone out there has any thoughts/experience to share. Replies in the next 24 hours would be extremely helpful, but I know not many can do that...and replies afterward will definitely still be helpful as well. My email address is lvanbct@aol.com if you want to respond to me directly. Thanks, Laura Cohen
