I had no idea that they are planning to eliminate Spanish GED. If this is true, I'll join anything that would combat such stupidity.

Dear everybody, the specter of the elimination of the Spanish GED test has
a group of us very concerned in my State. Could anyone direct me to a group
or groups of practitioners who have organized , or are interested in
organizing behind support for the maintenance of the test as a gateway to
higher education and learning, or even just as a credential?
Thanks,
ivonne

It comes out on the federal egister every year. The dept of ed. has a web
site www.ed.gov If you go to the web site, you should be able to find info
on financail aid info. Try that, if you can't get the exact info let me
know. I have some phone numbers somewhere of people that may know.

Could you tell me where I could get written information or on-line
information about this ability to benefit rule as well as the lists of
tests that could be made available and the kinds of financial aid that
would be available. I'd like to show this information to our financial aid
office.

Thanks
