Hello
I teach Native Language Literacy in Spanish to K -3rd graders and English as a second langauge.  I am looking for professional development opportunities.  This could be during the summer or during the school year.  I am open to traveling and furthering my education.  I have my MEd in Second Languages and Cultures. I taught English in South America for 2.5 years. I am interested in applying for a sabbatical and need a plan of where and how I will get my professional development.  I also write grants which require a plan of action.  I would be interested in opportunities in which I could improve my Spanish (which is my second language), improve my knowledge of family involvement and literacy with our Latino families, enhance my ability to teach Spanish literacy to primary grade Spanish speaking students and I would love to learn more children's songs and games to use in my classroom, too.  I am curious about teaching methods in Latin American countries, primarily Mexico, El Salvador and Ecuador.  I love my current job, yet feel restless.  I believe that a sabbatical in which I could learn more about bilingual education would be great.  I am seeking leads to programs, universities, opportunities for teachers in residence, fellows, study or travel grants, interns, curriculum writing etc.
Thank you!
Sincerely,
Ann
English and Spanish teacher
