Mainstream

What should mainstream teachers expect of ESL students who have been
mainstreamed?
| Should these students be graded differently?
|
| I am particularly interested in hearing other people's opinions about
| grading ESL students who are attending regular college classes, that is,
| students from other countries who have placed out of ESL classes and are
| attending as regular students, but for whom English in not the first
| language.
|
| Often teachers ask me "Should I cut these students a break?"
|
| This is particularly an issue for writing intensive classes.
|
