Lisa:

In our program, we do exactly de opposite. We give access to computers immediately. The computers become one of the many mechanisms for people to acquire more literacy skills.

A lot of kids also use the computers, even though they don't know how to read and write much. We have didactic software and games for them. At home, all our kids have had access to computers from a very young age.

Access to computers makes acquiring language skills more interesting and expedites the process.
