Friends,
This may be old news by now, but I've been advised by a knowledgable 
source in Washington that the best way to make NIFL board nominations 
at this late date is to send letters of nomination to The Honorable 
Rod Paige, Secretary of Education, U.S. Department of Education. 
Letters can also go to HHS and Labor Secretaries Chao and 
Thompson,though Paige is probably the pivotal person.  Since the 
President's nominations will be made next month, I'd urge that your 
nominations go out as quickly as possible. If I get any additional 
advice on this over the next several days I'll post it here.   GS
