JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title: Instructor/Counselor-Distance Learning Program
Reports To: Administrative Coordinator, Employment & Training (CPM)
Coordinator, Distance Learning Program (ILI)
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree, experience with ABE and/or ESL populations, computer ability.
Bilingual strongly preferred (English/Spanish)
Responsibilities: Work with students in Distance Learning program identified as needing additional support to ensure success in program.
Work with students individually and in small groups.
Conduct intake, assessment and evaluation activities for Distance Learning students.
Provide counseling and mentoring to assist students through educational transitions.
Develop and conduct in-depth orientations for students who are new to Distance Learning.
Monitor learner progress, maintain learner files and records.
Attend staff/project meetings.
Assist with supervision of computer lab.
Other duties as needed to support Distance Learning project and students.
