In our very large ESL program in Adult Education, Gwinnett Technical
College, we use Longman Press materials. Every series they produce is
top-notch. Trust anything by Molinsky & Bliss! Side by Side is multi-level,
very conversational, some writing, everyday life. Focus on Grammar is more
grammar oriented. Check out their website, fraught with teacher support. I
love their "Workplace Plus" series: every day life, at home, in the
workplace; can be used for EL/civics classes as well.

Do any of you use a textbook series across all levels of your adult ed ESL
program? If so, do you have a favorite you'd recommend. Or have you found
that one series doesn't have enough spread across three or four levels from
zero-based to advanced? If that is the case, do you use two series, or do
you use a completely different set of books for each level?
