Sherry: I've used the book "Reader's Choice" to help students learn about
roots and affixes in words, but this was with upper intermediate/advanced
students. This book is put out by the University of Michigan Press; authors
are: Baudoin, Bober, Clarke, Dobson, and Silberstein. It has short
articles, poems, excerpts, etc., with study questions, vocabulary, and word
study sections which help with roots and affixes. You can find the book in
most ESOL catalogues.
