Dear Tommy,

Congratulations on your new foundation. There is an urgent need for funding directed at grassroots ESOL initiatives. Right now, the "big grants" are inaccessible to those in the trenches actually doing the work of teaching, counselling, coaching and generally supporting immigrants and refugees. I think that posting on this listserv with a link to your own website, where you post your requests for proposals will net you an incredible response from organizations with viable projects and definite needs.

You might also consider attending one of the national literacy conferences held by the newly merged Proliteracy organization.

Good Luck and keep us all posted.
