I think there are two objectives for having a "diverse" staff that I have
followed in this thread:

A) meeting outcomes related to recruitment and retention of specific student
populations

B) meeting outcomes related to Federal, state or local  EEO/EOE policies

As long as prospective employees are aware of why they are being hired, the
goal of an ethnically diverse staff seems laudable.
