News Flash-- the Early Bird Registration Deadline for the
Workforce Improvement Network’s Summer Institute 2004 has
been extended by another week! Register by May 22 and save
$10 off the registration fee!

This year’s Summer Institute promises to be exciting and
timely for adult educators in Virginia. Dr. Yvonne Thayer,
VDOE director of adult education and literacy, will give the
welcoming address before attendees break for their choice of
two workshops.

Carol Coffey and WIN Director Dr. Diane Foucar-Szocki will
address the issue of “GED Learning in the Workplace,” which
fits right in with Governor Warner’s Race to GED initiative.

And Pamela Brown and John Vaughan will show ESOL and ABE
teachers how to incorporate technology in a fun and project-
based learning method in “Building Websites for ESOL
Learners.”

So mark your calendar for June 21 and 22 and send in your
registration form today!
